Orange Nut Cake
Orange Nut Cake
  • 2 white cake mixes
  • 1 teaspoon orange zest
  • 6 teaspoons water
  • 1/2 tablespoon pecans; chopped
  • 1/2 tablespoon coconut

Orange Glaze

  • 1 tablespoon orange juice; fresh squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon orange zest

Grease and flour two round Easy-Bake Oven cake pans.

Combine ingredients for orange glaze and set aside.

Mix one white cake mix with 1/2 teaspoon of the orange zest and 3 tablespoons of water.

Bake in Easy-Bake Oven for 12 minutes.

Remove pan from oven and invert onto a small plate.

Mix remaining white cake mix with remaining orange zest and water. Pour into remaining cake pan and bake in Easy-Bake Oven for 12 minutes.

While the first layer is still warm and the second layer is baking, pierce the warm layer with a toothpick or fork several times to help layer absorb the glaze. Drizzle 1 1/2 teaspoons of the Orange Glaze over top of warm layer.

When the second layer finishes baking, place it on top of first layer. Drizzle remaining orange glaze over all.

Sprinkle finished cake with nuts and coconut.
