Sugar Cookies #1

  • 7 teaspoons Shortening
  • 7 teaspoons Sugar
  • pinch Salt
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon Vanilla

Icing

  • 3 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • dash Salt
  • 1 teaspoon water; hot
  • 1/2 teaspoon Butter
  • sprinkles; optional

Cream together butter, sugars, salt and vanilla. Add flour and baking powder. Mix until a ball of dough forms.

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon of flour on countertop.

Roll out cookie dough. Use a knife to cut 1″ shapes (stars, circles etc.).

Place cookies in greased Easy-Bake Oven pan.

Bake in Easy-Bake Oven for 5 minutes. Allow cookies to cool before removing from oven.

Mix together all icing ingredients.

When cookies are cool, drizzle icing over top or spread on with a knife. Add sprinkles on top if desired.
