- vegetable shortening
- 6 sliced almonds
- 2 packages yellow cake mix
For Each Cake:
- 3 teaspoons orange juice
- 1/8 teaspoon orange peel; grated
- 3 teaspoons raspberry preserves
Generously grease bottom and sides of Easy-Bake Oven baking pans. Flour only bottom of pans.
Press almonds onto sides only of greased pans. Set aside.
Stir together 1 package of yellow cake mix, orange juice and orange peel in mixing bowl until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared Easy-Bake Oven pan.
Repeat process with second cake mix.
Bake in Easy-Bake Oven for 12 minutes.
Remove from Easy-Bake Oven and invert onto small plate immediately.
Spread raspberry preserves over top. Arrange 6 almond slices in center of cake (to resemble a blossom).
